Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) POLICY
In accordance with Section 89 of New York Public Officer’s Law, The Incorporated Village of
Manorhaven (“Manorhaven”) will administer and review FOIL requests as follows:
All Freedom of Information Law (“FOIL”) requests must be submitted in writing via:

Please remember to be as specific as possible when making your requests.
Manorhaven shall acknowledge and respond to all FOIL requests within five (5) business days.
In most instances, depending on the size and nature of the request, all requests shall be responded
to within (20) twenty business days.
All records will be available at Village Hall located at 33 Manorhaven Blvd. Port Washington,
New York 11050. The Village is open Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. All files are available
from the Village Clerk, Sharon Abramski. However, please make an appointment with
Manorhaven prior to visiting as she may be engaged in other business at the time
of your visit.
Depending on the size of the request, Manorhaven reserves the right to seek reimbursement for
the reproduction of all records in an amount not to exceed twenty-five cents ($0.25) per
photocopy for copies less than 9″ x 14″. Different rates may apply for larger documents and
