The Growing Love Community Garden is holding its Spring 2021 Garden Opening event on Sunday, May 2nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Manorhaven Village Preserve. Mayor Jim Avena and Trustee Rita DiLucia are encouraging all members of the public to attend. Growing Love will host an open-air Artisan Market at the Village Preserve parking lot, featuring children’s activities, local vendors, live music, and food trucks.
“The whole Village appreciates the beauty and community fostered by the Growing Love Community Garden. We are so pleased that the Garden is officially opening up again for the Spring season, and we hope that you will all join us for a wonderful, family-friendly event,” said Mayor Jim Avena.
The Garden Opening will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Makers Market will last from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 2nd at the Village Preserve, 80 Manorhaven Blvd. (rain date Sunday, May 16th)
“We could all use a positive community event that will support local businesses and bring people together outdoors in a safe way to grow together as a Village. Bring your kids and tell your neighbors!” said Trustee Rita DiLucia.
